CARROLLWOOD - Traffic flow in and around Carrollwood remains business as usual, with a few exceptions.
Work on roadway and signalization improvements is in effect 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. on Van Dyke Road, about 1,000 feet west of Lakeshore Road. Improvements began on the Lutz road's westbound lane Aug. 30 and are expected to continue through Sept. 14. Alternating traffic lanes will be available during the effort.
The Veterans Expressway enhancements, including repaving, will be a factor for nighttime traffic only until Oct. 16. Joanne Hurley, a spokeswoman for Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, said through-lanes will be available during the night work.
Road widening, drainage improvements, traffic signalization and utility relocation work continues to hinder traffic flow at the Waters Avenue and Anderson Road intersection. Crews will labor at the intersection during daylight hours until mid-February.
South of the intersection on Anderson Road work on storm water improvements began Aug. 23.
