CARROLLWOOD - Three intersections in Original Carrollwood will be raised to slightly higher levels this month thanks to a $4 million neighborhood traffic-calming project.
The intersections are Lantania Drive at Reclinata Lane; Schefflera Road at Hampton Place and Orange Grove Drive at Juniperus Place.
The Orange Grove/Juniperus intersection will be closed from 9 a.m. today to 4 p.m. Dec. 10. During construction, motorists will use Hudson Lane to Orange Grove Drive to Floyd Road as a detour.
The Schefflera/Hampton intersection will be closed from 9 a.m. Dec. 8 to 5 p.m. Dec. 15. Motorists will detour around the intersection by using Orange Grove Drive to Lake Carroll Way to Schefflera to Reclinata Lane.
The Lantania/Reclinata intersection will be closed from 9 a.m. Dec. 10 to 5 p.m. Dec. 17. The detour will be North Dale Mabry Highway to Lake Carroll Way to Schefflera Road to Hampton Place.
The traffic-calming project is part of the Carrollwood Community Plan and includes Carrollwood Village.
