TAMPA - St. Joseph's Children's Hospital is seeking donations of new toys to be used in a special "Christmas in July" event July 25.
Every hospitalized child will receive a wrapped gift from Santa Claus and Rudolf during the celebration, which will also include food, drinks and holiday music from a special reindeer band.
Toys are needed for children of all ages. The hospital is requesting the following items: crib mobiles. infant toys, bubbles, arts and crafts supplies, electronics, puzzles, kid-friendly movies, teen games, teen magazines and gift cards.
In addition to being distributed during the "Christmas in July" party, the donations will be used to supply the hospital with toys for all hospitalized children throughout the year.
Donations may be brought to the lobby of St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, 3001 W. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Tampa. For information about specific donation items or general questions about donations, call the Child Life Department at (813) 554-8509.
