TAMPA - The county school board recently honored four graduating seniors, including ones from Gaither and Chamberlain high schools, for having perfect attendance.
Not for just one year. Not for all four years of high school. For every year of school from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Joseph Lamothe from Gaither, Tabatha Stone of Chamberlain, Anthony Hurtado of Newsome and Katelyn Todd from Bloomingdale never missed a day since they started kindergarten.
Chamberlain has a streak of students graduating with perfect attendance. In addition to Stone this year, the school had Patrick James finish with a spotless record in 2007 and his brother, Alan James, had done the same in 2006.
The school board recognized the four students this year at its meeting this month. The district presented each with a clock.
