TAMPA - Four men are accused of running two marijuana-growing operations with a total of 188 plants worth roughly $540,000, authorities said.
Jesus Fonseca Sanchez, Lazaro Avila Perez, Jasan Arguelles and Frank Cedeno are charged with felony manufacture of marijuana, among other charges.
Arguelles, 27, of Tampa, was being held at the Orient Road Jail today with bail set at $5,000, records show. Sanchez, 55, Perez, 43, and Cedeno, 35, all of Tampa, were being held without bail.
Acting on a tip, investigators Tuesday searched 9019 Tree Valley Circle, where Sanchez lives, and found 152 marijuana plants growing under high-powered lights, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
Detectives later found 36 plants being cultivated at 833 W. Lutz-Lake Fern Road, where Arguelles and Cedeno live, officials said.
