CARROLLWOOD - Fancy footwork won't be the only highlight of an upcoming dance production at the Carrollwood Cultural Center.
A dance performance by Asher Dance Eclectic features traditional dancers as well as disabled dancers in wheelchairs. The group will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Carrollwood Cultural Center at 4637 Lowell Road.
The group performs contemporary and modern dance styles, highlighting the fact that dancing comes not only from legs but from the entire body.
The production, called "A Committed Vision," is directed by Marlo Chambers and includes choreography by local contemporary artists including Chambers, Karon Montgomery and Jadene Oquendo.
The show features special guests The Crews and Song and Dance Inc.
Asher Dance Eclectic, known as Central Florida's first mixed-mobility dance company, was established in 1999 and has performed at Walt Disney World, The Florida Aquarium and Ruth Eckerd Hall.
The show cost $10 for members, $15 for nonmembers. For information, visit www.carrollwoodcenter.org or call (813) 269-1310.
