Steinbrenner High football jerseys resemble NFL's Chargers

The Steinbrenner Warriors’ colors are blue and gold and because the logo is a lightning bolt, the football jerseys resemble that of the NFL’s San Diego Chargers.

In a small room inside the recently completed George Steinbrenner main office, athletic director Eddie Henderson showed us at the Tribune boxes upon boxes stacked to the ceiling, all sports equipment and jerseys.

Luckily, one of the boxes on top included the new football jerseys. The Steinbrenner Warriors' colors are blue and gold and because the logo is a lightning bolt, the football jerseys resemble that of the NFL's San Diego Chargers.

Looks pretty cool. What do you all think?

Henderson said the team should be able to practice on the main field today, using the brand new equipment that arrived by the truck-load last week.

The team has been conditioning at Martinez Middle school (next to the high school) and open the season against Strawberry Crest, which also opens later this month.
