Sprinkler System Helps Control Citrus Park Building Fire

TAMPA - A water-flow alarm caused by a fire in the common area between a liquor store and Lifestyle Family Fitness drew firefighters to 5735 Gunn Highway in Citrus Park this morning.
"Crews arrived to find water from the sprinkler system coming from under a rear door," a Hillsborough County Fire Rescue news release states.
The sprinkler system controlled the blaze, and crews arrived to extinguish the fire.
The call had a second alarm due to the size of the building, fire crews say. There were 12 fire units and 30 people on scene.
No one was injured; the damage was minimal.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
