EGYPT LAKE - Cambridge Christian School will get out into the community this week to meet families who might be curious about the private school.
Cambridge, 6101 N. Habana Ave., is trying a different approach to recruiting potential students. The school usually relies on parents to make appointments for visits or seek them out at independent schools conferences, said admissions coordinator Lisa Brennan.
Brennan will be at two libraries today and Thursday to share information and answer questions. Parents of current Cambridge children will also attend to give a family perspective on the school.
The meetings are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library, 2902 W. Bearss Ave., and during the same time period Thursday at Upper Tampa Bay Regional Public Library, 11211 Countryway Boulevard.
Brennan hopes the locations will be convenient for people to stop by and pick up information. She will have packets about tuition, applications and courses.
Cambridge starts with preschool and goes through 12th grade. Some students will attend their entire school career, Brennan said. The school also sees an influx of applications for students entering sixth and ninth grades.
