Teams do well in tourney

LUTZ - Teams from the Lutz Leaguerettes Softball League teams played well at the May 1 to 3 Hillsborough County softball tournament at Sadie Park in Brandon.
The Pixie Division (girls ages 6-9) team Diamond Stars won, while the Lady Crushers came in second.
In the Pigtail Division (girls ages 10-13) the Lunachix came in second after playing seven games during the three-day event. The Lady Rays finished third.
The Lunachix were the only team in the tournament to beat the Brandon Titans, which won first overall.
The Pony Division (girls ages 14 -18) team the Outlaws earned first place, while MVP finished second.
The final of the double-elimination tournament pitted the Brandon Titans against the Lutz Lunachix for the overall trophy.
