TAMPA - Chamberlain High's Culinary Operations Academy recently hosted the Taste of Culinary, an "Iron Chef"-style event that paired three academy students with chefs from local restaurants and culinary schools.
The inaugural event on Oct. 13, a fundraiser for the school's culinary program, required the chefs, both student and professional, to follow rules similar to those culinary students follow at competitions, including a limitation of two butane burners per team and preparation time limits. The executive chefs coached the students in preparing appetizers and accompaniments.
