TAMPA PALMS - Family of Christ Lutheran Church and Christian School recently began making space for an Olympic-size soccer field on the church property at 16190 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. Trees have been trimmed and a silt fence has been put up where the field will go. The church is awaiting permits to begin tearing down trees. A mix of emotions was evident over the weekend as parents, guardians, family members and friends gathered for one of the most significant events in a young person's life – graduating from high school. Joy, relief, sadness, excitement were no doubt felt among the approximately 700 seniors in Highlands County's three public high schools during graduation ceremonies. TAMPA -- Out of the 120 students at Tampa Catholic High School randomly screened for drugs this past school year, not a single one tested positive, school administrators said today.
